The Star Throwers Story
An old man walking on the seashore was throwing back the starfish that had been
washed up by the tide. A young man approached him and said, “Why are you doing this?
There are so many starfish, you can’t possibly make a difference.” The kindly old man
reached down and picked up another starfish, as he threw it back into the sea he said,
“It made a difference to that one.”
