Remember the Sabbath day and Keep it holy…Exodus 20:8

Six days you shall labor and do all of your work; but the Seventh day is a Sabbath unto the Lord, that is Friday at sunset to Saturday at sunset.

It has been said that, “more than the Jew keeping the Sabbath, the Sabbath has kept the Jews”.

The Sabbath is the highlight of the week.  Special foods are prepared.  Best china and linen are used.

Families gather together for a special time of rest and sharing.

So often people, by mistake, think that keeping the Sabbath is a list of “Don’ts”…don’t write, don’t iron, don’t travel.

When truly, experiencing the Sabbath, You will find, It is a day of refreshing “Do’s”.
Do spend time with the family, Do relax and read, Do study the portion of the week of the Torah, Do enjoy special foods and atmosphere, Do enjoy all the Sabbath blessing that God fully intends for you and your loved ones; Do join the community in celebration of the Sabbath!

From the entry of the Sabbath at sundown of Friday evening to the ending of the Sabbath one hour after sundown saturday, the atmosphere is permeated with Joy, Goodwill, Rest, and most importantly, Spiritual Renewal!

      A Day of Love

The Sabbath is the great day of love.

The shared hours wherein fathers,    mothers, and children learn to walk    together, holding hands, uplifting minds,    teaching their tongues the gladness their    hearts must know.
